These core documents set out the West Coast Regional Councils strategic direction, policies and rules under the Resource Management Act, Biosecurity Act and the Local Government Act.

Standing Orders
Standing orders contain rules for the conduct of the proceedings of local authorities, committees, subcommittees and subordinate decision-making bodies.

Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct (Code) sets out the standards of behaviour expected from elected members in the exercise of their duties.

Long Term Plan 2024 - 2034
The Long Term Plan sets out Council’s strategic direction, funding intentions and work programmes in detail for the coming three years, and in broad outline for a further seven years. See here for previous Long Term Plans.

Annual Plan 2024
The Annual Plan sets out the Council’s yearly programmes and budgets as foreshadowed in the Long-term Plan immediately preceding them. See here for previous Annual Plans.

Annual Report 2023

Council Policies

Delegations Manual

Delegation means the assignment of a duty or power of action from one person or entity to another. This document describes the tasks and powers delegate by the Council.
