Community Representative - Westport Joint Committee
The West Coast Regional Council and Buller District Council are seeking nominations from the community for the position of Community Representative for the Westport Joint Committee.
The purpose of the Joint Committee is to review the annual work plan for Westport flood protection provided to it by Regional Council staff, consider any independent expert advice and make informed recommendations to the Regional Council for final decision.
Nominated persons must be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant expertise;
- Live within, or have an interest or connection, to the Westport area.
- Be a ratepayer within the wider Westport area
Meetings will be held annually or as otherwise agreed by the Joint Committee. Meetings will be held in Westport. The Community Representative must be available for all meetings.
The Community Representative role is a voluntary position.
To make a nomination: pick up a nomination form from the Buller District Council, or download from the West Coast Regional Council website www.wcrc.govt.nz

Nominations must be received by the West Coast Regional Council, or dropped off to the Buller District Council, by 5.00pm, Tuesday 22 April 2025.
