Development West Coast Council Appointee
The four West Coast Councils have decided to replace their representative, John Sturgeon, on the Development West Coast Trust Board from 1 July 2017.
John has dedicated himself to the Trust since being appointed by the Councils on 1 November 2010. This follows on from John’s distinguished career in the coal mining and sporting fields.
The Councils’ extend to John a thank you for his service to the Trust, and to the West Coast community, and wish him well for the future.
The Trust is made up of seven members, three of which are elected, an appointee from the New Zealand Law Society, the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants (Independent Trustees), a Tangata Whenua Appointee and a Trustee appointed by the four Councils of the West Coast.
