Council meetings, reports and agendas are typically open to the public and available online.

Meetings of the West Coast Regional Council are held in the Council Chambers at the West Coast Regional Council, 388 Main South Road, Paroa, Greymouth 7805. Meetings are mainly held on the second Tuesday of each month. Times and venues are published in the local newspaper and are mentioned on the front of each Agenda. Special Rating District Meetings
The West Coast Regional Council administers 26 individual rating districts on the West Coast. Within each rating district are numerous river control and flood protection infrastructure that are in place to reduce the severity of impacts on local communities from large, low frequency flooding events or erosion.
