PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION CONCERNING RESOURCE CONSENT
Sections 2AB and 95A Resource Management Act 1991
The West Coast Regional Council (WCRC) and the Grey District Council (GDC) has received an application from TIGA Minerals and Metals Ltd for resource consents. A description of the application is provided below:
Reference: WCRC: RC-2023-0046 GDC: LUN3154/23
Location: Barrytown Flats, State Highway 6 (Coast Road), approximately 9km south of the Punakaiki township and 36km north of Greymouth.
Map reference NTZM: 1460770E, 5082683N
Legal description: Lot 1 DP 412689 and Rural Section 2847, Record of Title 447182 and Section 4-6 Block V Waiwhero Survey District, Record of Title WS2D/1035.
Proposed Activity: The establishment and operation of a mineral sands mine in an area of approximately 63ha over a 12-year period, including construction of associated infrastructure, such as a processing plant and associated facilities over an area of approximately 2.0ha up to 15m in height, and for a minimum average of 50 truck movements per day between the site and Greymouth or Westport.
Resource Consents: The following types of resource consents are sought from the respective Councils.
